September 21st, 9:30 AM – Equinox Sheeps’ Meadow Sacred Gathering before the People’s Climate March

9:30 AM, Sheeps’ Meadow, Central Park, New York City

The Grandmothers and Devi Tide will offer a Sacred Gathering open to all – this will be a culminating gathering from the Grandmothers’ journey through the New Zealand Maori Marae and the Southwest Hopi, Yaqi, and other reservations.

We hope you will join us in this gathering, and then in the People’s Climate March to show your support for a new way, a harmonious way, that brings us out of koyaanisqatsi (life out of balance) and back into harmony with the planet and each other.

The Grandmothers have been invited to speak and offer prayer at the People’s Climate March Multi-faith

  1. I would greatly appreciate knowing more about the NYC events. I was present at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine for a World Summit of spiritual leaders under the Temple of Understanding and UN in the early 1970’s. At that time the Hopi elders came and were denied admission. They were not on the invitation list. This was in accordance with the Hopi prophecy that they would come three times to “the House of Mica” and be denied admission before being accepted. I would hope and pray that at this time the Hopi and all other Indigenous Peoples be accepted by the United Nations in their own right as sovereign nations with all accorded privileges.
    It would be a great joy and fulfillment if I could witness that.
